Ada Brueggemann

	Ada Brueggemann, 79, of Sparta, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2001 at 1:30 a.m. at Sparta Community Hospital.
	Mrs. Brueggemann was a homemaker and a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Walsh.  She was a life-member of Sparta VFW 2698 Auxiliary, was the popcorn lady for 42 years at Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary and a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
	 She was born September 12, 1921 at Walsh, the daughter of Alec and Hanna (Eggemeyer) Mahan.   She married Byron M. Brueggemann on June 28, 1941 at Perryville, Mo. and he preceded her in death on January 23, 1989.
	Surviving are two daughters, Carol Phillips of Tamaroa and Dorothy Feira of Sesser; three sons, Edward Allen Brueggemann of Sparta, Fredrick Dean Brueggemann of Evansville, Ill. and Gary Gene Brueggemann of Sparta; grandchildren, Michael Scott Phillips of Tamaroa, Barbara Brewer of Tamaroa, Angela Bullock of Sesser, Teresa Stacey of Sesser, Shawna Brueggemann of Sparta, Lean Brueggemann of New Athens, Chad Brueggemann of New Athens, Tim Brueggemann of Red Bud and Bethanie Brueggemann of Evansville and nine great-grandchildren.
	 She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister.
	 Funeral services were Tuesday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at McDaniel Funeral Home in Sparta with Pastor Harold Weber officiating.  Interment was in Caledonia Cemetery in Sparta.
	Friends called from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. until hour of service at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Sparta.
	 Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Randolph County Care Center Auxiliary.
